"This book brings to the brazilian reader the classical texts adapted to manga.

God is dead. These are the famous words spoken by Zaratustra. In his speeches, he anounced that the time of gods were over. Thus Spoke Zarathustra is about the fundamental concepts of Nietzsche, such as the "ubermensch" the "eternal recurrence" and ideas that influenced modern artists and thinkers."

I actually would really like to read Manga versions of philosophy just to see how well the Japanese actually understand it.

Reading Mishima gave me a stricking feeling as to the difference in how the Japanese read things compared to westerners. Their language is structured so differently that they absorb ideas in a different order, if that makes sense.

My grandpa gave this to me and I actually read it. I don't think he understood it was a manga edition, not sure.
Terrible and carries no philosophical insights from the original.

Not the anon but the way you read Japanese is structurally different from English.
それは、もう知っているよ。Translates directly to " In state of having acquired that knowledge already.", but considering Japanese context it is translated as "I know that already". If you read it from left to right you get "That", "Already" "Know" and you can figure it out the other way around. Japan is a language of implications.
