I can’t wait to read his books. You can’t imagine how much he’ll blow my mind after I’m done reading them.

Sure. So what is Kacynski's endgoal? He's not anprim and he's anti tech. So he wants something akin to 18th century life prior to the industrial revolution?

Sort of. It is nuanced. Uncle Ted actually had no problem with cars. The problem is that society soon builds itself around mass transportation provides. It stops offering freedom when it becomes mandatory.

>> No.14497645

>>14497197
Have you read TK? He says over and over again that the outcome of the anti-tech revolution is beyond our grasp (we cannot predict the trends of society) it's not about going back to primie ways, agricultural civ, pastoral nomadism or anything of that sort. It's about DESTROYING INDUSTRIAL SOCIETY. That's it.

TK terminated idealism. There is no big utopia following the revolution, no plans whatsoever, no ideal to follow through.

>> No.14497674

>>14497222
wrong. you haven't read anything beyond his manifesto. TK does not CARE about the outcome of the anti-tech revolution >>14497645.

TK solved political philosophy. He terminated Idealism. TK re-ontologizes the subject. And most of all, he pleb-filtered everyone by not name dropping a single thinker in his works, and by decomplexifying everything he wrote about. He solved the false theory/praxis dichotomy. He buried Debord and his clique (they're not interested in actual détournement). He dismantled Marxism and materialism (Marxist teleology invalidates Marx anti-idealist stance) etc... I could go on and on, TK is the most important voice of our times.

>Have you read TK?

It's on my reading list. I read his Wiki page and learned about him through threads so I got the common misconception he was just for a return to hunter gatherer days because of his lifestyle living in a cabin.

I was like this before reading him
Sadly his book is trash, awful prose. Read Linkola instead

>> No.14498963

>>14498863
Linkola is genre-fiction - it happens that he's good for his niche, but there is no substance, no thinking, no depth to be found in his works. It is exactly what TK decries in various 'activists' and academics; that people claim to be against the system but do not give themselves the tools to act against it. If you are SERIOUS about destroying industrial society then you work towards that goal like an autist, not like some nord poet more preoccupied with writing his latest sonet than saving the world. The state of idealists. How do you expect your fantasies to act out? By the way, a government is first and foremost a technological apparatus, therefore any kind of eco-fascism is fundamentally flawed, but once again, people are more concerned with palliating their own psychological needs than armed and able to focus on the real problems at hand - no bird collecting fantasy.
