I'm a huge fan of Kazynski and believe him to be up there with some of the most creative minds of our time but cannot get over the fact that he was a serial killer. To me, being a serial killer is a more dominant mental trait than his musings on society and, to be fair, social writings are somewhat of a bore when not concerning society's greatest influence, technology.

We get it, live in nature and do as nature says. But he was a hermit, living alone, so how could he pretend to be authoritative on society anyway? It's like a fish writing a book about the rainforest. I love the guy, but find him somewhat stupid. I respect him because I understand him, but in no way would I include him on your list.

I'd say we are observing the changing of the guard. The old triumvirate of Wallace, Pynchon and Joyce is slowly being replaced by newer shills like Deleuze, Land, Guenon and Kaczynski. We need to be vigilant and see that nothing goes awry.
