Whitehead emphacizes the integral aspect of process philosophy, and Deleuze favors the differential, so this follows naturally from the emphasis. Trying to make a well thought-out, "complete" philosophy of difference is pretty much contrary to the subject itself. This is also why they pair so wonderfully.
