I only read a book multiple times if I really like it. I don't like Ulysses all that much. It's not even in my top 5. I have read Portrait four (4) times though.

I’m on a Faulkner kick right now, TSaTF, AILD, probably gonna read something short stories next. I have read Dubliners and Portrait though multiple times and I’m sure I’ll get to Ulysses soon. One of my professors recommended it to me after I took a Brit Lit course with her and she gave me a guide she was given by a Joyce scholar in graduate school.

And I have read the book myself, but only using the guide and even then it was a bitch
