Concearning the rest of the post, although philosophy has become mostly comatose, Guenon did not contributed to any of the still truly useful fields.

O cultists, metaphysicians, the majority of philosophers: these people are like children playing at drawing and modeling clay (why it's easier and more playful) while real adults are worrying about building nanostructures, devising economic models that allow for greater growth and income equality, sending rockets to increasingly distant locations in the universe, building particle colliders, understanding the most fundamental matter, finding out how the universe can possibly spring from nothing, creating new technologies and businesses, and so on. Opticians and metaphysicians know this very well, but to make a real contribution they would have to work and study hard, as well as teamwork. However, it is much easier to create theories (such as writing poems) and selling them to the unsuspecting as if they were true revelations.

He was not gifted as an artist either, whatever the medium. Perhaps if he (or the other like him) was, he would invest time in energy in creating great novels, plays, poems, films, symphonies, paintings and sculptures.

Moreover, Guenon did not contribute to scientific advancement in any area (even though he was a gifted student in mathematics).

Finally, he ended his days as a kind of religious fanatic, which is basically investing time, energy, and mental capacity in unproven fiction stories. It's like Harold Bloom investing hours and hours and hours analyzing Shakespeare's works as if theywere scripture.
