Probably Diary by Chuck Palaniuk (or however the hell you spell his name). I actually enjoyed it and liked having something to talk to my younger sister about (despite having been a 24 year old man reading something written almost explicitly for teenage girls). It's not so bad but definitely not much going on there beyond the basic teenage edginess surrounding "but what if we're actually the oppressive ones forcing her to paint???" silliness.

I had to take a "Literature of Globalization" class to satisfy a diversity requirement at my Alma Commune.
I read some truly vulgar books in that class.
I don't even remember most of the names because I would drop them halfway and write some generic social justice essay, but Caribbean "literature" was by far the worst.

Imagine the simplest SJW "whitey bad" social messages told through a barely literate historic-ish narrative. They turn magical realism into tenable fantasy.

It was a shame because I used to live in the Caribbean and it is one of the most interesting cultural and historical regions in the world; but there we were, a bunch of rich white people studying works that belong in an anthropology class acting like they have the same literary depth and importance as Shakespeare.

How about the lowest brow book you've read past middle school/high school (or equivalents)? If you go far back enough anyone would give you something like "everybody poops."
I reread Cornelia Funke's "Dragonrider" last year because it was a favorite of mine when I was about 10.

That sucks. Some of the battletech and MechWarrior novelizations were great as a kid. Doom was unique in that the books seem to be written by guys who lost interest in the job and smoked a bunch of weed half way through the series. It ended on a truly insane note that left 13 year olds across the country wondering wtf they had read. Safe to assume nobody high up at ID software was even reading the manuscripts.

When I was in 4th grade my library had a bunch of Snoopy mass-markets. I read these while waiting for the next Calvin and Hobbes. One day I brought home a Snoopy book only to find giant dicks drawn on every character in every panel. Even Woodstock. It freaked me out and I felt pretty dirty afterwards. Lowbrow, good: Different Seasons
Highbrow, bad: Freakonomics
Highbrow, good: The Selfish gene
