14374370 No.14374370 [Reply] [Original]

No one else has actually, genuinely, completely emancipated themselves from Christianity like this dude did, no one else has truly thought past and through it. I'm not sure whether that was for good or ill, but everyone else is a charlatan, only Nietzsche was a radical who followed his ruthless path to where it truly lead.

The trick is to emancipate oneself from the dogmatic ecclesiastical domination of institutionalized Christianity while not rejecting the spiritual essence of the life and teachings of Jesus.

Nietzsche wrote in a bunch of contextless one-liners fit only for 14 year olds looking for edgy things to say to totally pwn their traditional Christian parents.

Anyone over the age of 22 who thinks he had anything of value to say immediately outs themselves as a literal zoo animal.

>"God is dead"
>soooooooo edgy and unique.
>I am special now
>That goth girl will totally wanna fuck me over Chad now
>I memorized four whole contextless quotes
>Chad is a mere midwit compared to me

In the words of C.S Lewis, "A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic — on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg — or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice."

>A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher.

This is a baseless assertion. Why does it take magic powers to make moral teachings great? There are tons of non-religious moral teachers. Should I assume Epictetus had magic God powers too, or do I have to throw Stoicism out because Epictetus was not sired by Yahweh?

Lewis is the world's second most celebrated pseudo-intellectual midwit.

>> No.14374777

The only person more retarded than the average Nietzsche fan is the average Nietzsche critic.

God is dead wasn't a triumphant statement you fuck.

>God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it?

You're just as bad as the edgy 14 year olds, no, you are worse, 14 year olds are just trying to find their way and attempt to latch on to something valuable. You however made no attempt to even study the most influential philosopher since Aristotle and criticize those that do make an attempt. Fuck you, you absolute reprobate.

yeah man, but you have to give the context of the wider paragraph it was taken from, not far just to cherry pick such a great writers work:

>God is dead. Oh yes, God is dead. Jesus had his last supper, and after that was reborn. We waited and we waited for the return of our saviour, but he did not return. Did you get the news, hearye? Hearye the news gentleman? God lay down in his deathbed and gave a final breath unto thine air. Jesus whispered into His ear but He did not listen, indeed He could not, for he was dead.

Welcome to Nietzsche.
I am surprised how ignorant people are of this. As his work furthered, the dionysian/apollonian divide transformed into a dionysian/christian divide - and his intention was to synthethize both. He was deeply moved and influenced by the figure of Jesus Christ, which is particularly evident in him often signing his letters in the last years of his life as "The crucified"

It is the abyss of christianity which he felt stronger than most others, due to the depth of his affiliation to it. Only due to his understanding and empathy for it, was he able to attack it and tear it down so destructively - acting out of necessity, having not only thought it through but felt it through and lived it through - the overcoming of christianity, through the dionysian, is an inavoidable consequence (if one values the greatness of it's spirit, which he did, dont let superficiality fool you), which he reached in thought - but not in life.

Damn you're dumb as fuck, the only original thing he brought to it was le slave morality and that was based on something that had been common knowledge in the english speaking world for centuries(that people have ulterior motives than morality for hating what they can't have)

Being a German he thought that this was a novel discovery along with the rest of his "psychological insights." Germans are so bereft of psychological intuition that they had to invent a science called psychology to understand normal human beings.

Marx is anti-moralistic through and through, and he rejects Christianity by rejecting the political state:

>The religious spirit can only be secularized insofar as the stage of development of the human mind of which it is the religious expression makes its appearance and becomes constituted in its secular form. This takes place in the democratic state. Not Christianity, but the human basis of Christianity is the basis of this state. Religion remains the ideal, non-secular consciousness of its members, because religion is the ideal form of the stage of human development achieved in this state.

>The members of the political state are religious owing to the dualism between individual life and species-life, between the life of civil society and political life. They are religious because men treat the political life of the state, an area beyond their real individuality, as if it were their true life. They are religious insofar as religion here is the spirit of civil society, expressing the separation and remoteness of man from man. Political democracy is Christian since in it man, not merely one man but everyman, ranks as sovereign, as the highest being, but it is man in his uncivilized, unsocial form, man in his fortuitous existence, man just as he is, man as he has been corrupted by the whole organization of our society, who has lost himself, been alienated, and handed over to the rule of inhuman conditions and elements — in short, man who is not yet a real species-being. That which is a creation of fantasy, a dream, a postulate of Christianity, i.e., the sovereignty of man – but man as an alien being different from the real man — becomes, in democracy, tangible reality, present existence, and secular principle.
