I feel bad for you, /lit/.

I come on here, and the first thing I see is that over half the threads on the front page are either troll threads or not literature threads.

So how about a thread about the most entertaining writer of the 19th century?

Oh god, the trolls are here too.

I prefer Dumas to Hugo, but they are both badass.

19th century was a good time for French lit.

I'm not well-read, so I don't have a lot to compare him to, but he's very entertaining indeed. I loved his works.

/lit/'s discussion of literature:

>oh very entertaining
>really good op
>yeah i liked it alot

Or:

>book sucked
>lol oh sorry op i didnt know you were serious
>lol shitsucks lulz

How is this any better than a troll thread?

Your efforts are appreciated, /lit/ is pretty much dead though.

I've only read Monte Cristo, I'd quite like to read the Musketeer series though. Did he do anything else noteworthy?

He did quite a bit, actually: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandre_Dumas#Works

And Three Musketeers is great.
