Teachers are people who have failed to excel in their fields of study. Imagine working 60 hours a week as a babysitter for teenagers who hate you. Kids don't learn anything. All they care about is meeting the minimum required standard to pass a test and move forward.

I have never met a teacher who wasn't a loser. Throughout my schooling I always had teachers telling me to stop reading certain books because they considered them too advanced for me and at other times I would get in trouble for reading ahead in my textbooks. They said if I read too far ahead I would end up being bored in class and these things always stuck with me because it perfectly explains why they're such losers. As students they were afraid to challenge themselves and they were afraid of being bored in class. Without even realizing it they're trying to make their students losers like them and I despise them for it.

I've also witnessed some extremely petty shit from them towards students they didn't like but that's a another story. It's enough to say they're the most childish adults I've ever come across in my life.

I tutor college students now as a recent graduate. I'm probably going to become an English teacher at a public/private school within the next couple years. A lot of people i work with right now were public school teachers here (Florida) at one point, and they all have said it was a horrible experience. Their testimonies of the shitty schools/students in the state have made me withdraw from seriously applying myself to become a teacher.

-adjusting kids to society (blindly obey instruction, take seriously the rewards and punishments of authority)

-slotting kids into a hierarchy (prestigious positions are artificially limited, poor performers should believe that their poor position is due to some inner flaw, its best if this flaw is low effort)

they are largely inept at informing kids how to think and convey their thought because society has no use for people communicating their thoughts clearly

its easier to grade (quite literally: construct a hierarchy) with useless tasks of successively harder memorization and the end result is actually more beneficial to society because those who perform best have also been thoroughly vetted for blind obeisance to authority (after all the task has no end besides the rewards of authority so high performers CANNOT have been doing this performance for some inner end)

I moved back to my home town in rural America where they couldn't find someone to teach pre-calculus, so I helped out with that part-time. Was pretty fun, but I didn't have any qualifications so they had to replace me with a "real" teacher after the school year because of state regulations.

Private school is just paying near 10 grand a year for your kid to have smaller classes and do work one grade ahead. The government regulates what must be taught and private schools still need to meet those obligations.
