If we go with pure materialism, consciousness is obviously much more than a simple collection of atoms. They get replaced throughout your life, and any neuron could easily be replaced with some non-biological substitute, rendering the atom itself irrelevant.
Consciousness obviously arises as some transcendental property, like a pattern, but much more complicated. Just like five grains of sand do not individualy contain the mathematical number five, nor are they somehow needed for it's existence. Just as "fiveness" is not contained in the physical world, but arises on top of it, so does consciousness.
So, from this we can easily conclude the idea that the person moves through time, gaining experience and changing, is wrong. The "you" from five seconds ago is no more "you" than the "you" from five years ago. They are different "patterns", unconnected, just like other people. So, each consciousness from each point of time, from each different being, is something else. Meaning that death, or being all things, are equally paradoxical, which renders this whole dumb video invalid
