I believe there is a tipping point, from struggling on the low end, and wealth on the high end. When you've reached this tipping point, or have never experienced "struggle", your biological prime directive is set to; reproduce. In other words, the human experience can be simplified to that of most mammals.
>Step 1: Establish a home. A nest. i.e. Comfy.
>Step 2: Acquire a steady flow of resources. For animals, this means food. For humans, this just means wealth.
>Step 3: Reproduce. Or for those who are unaware of their own biological puppeteering, have sex.
>Step 4: Raise children. It's clear that we find adorable things adorable because they mimic the appearance of adolescent humans.

The existence of feral children is just proof that humanity is just an extremely adaptive and social species. We are designed to follow those around us. The children are like clay, and will be shaped by the container they find themselves in, even with self contradictory religions and philosophies. Whatever works, works. Power speaks louder than words.

It is known that outsourcing thinking is a common practice. Find what you think is a reputable source. Parents, school, news, ect. They'll do the thinking for you. Its an extremely taxing process for most, thinking.

Kids need to be socialized before a certain age, if they are not, they become impaired. Ancient people didn't have this problem because even though they were primitive they were still raised by their parents, not actual wolves.

thread was all in all pretty based until this post. that being said, i had believed that i had read that language (or lack there of) had a developmental effect on cognitive abilities (specifically the ones we quantify with iq), but i cannot find anything corroborating this. from what i can tell the nativist-nurturist battle is still raging in this area as well, so to find unbiased research is going to be a bitch
