I don't know whether I trust modern, mainstream science anymore. From the crisis of replicability to the publish-or-perish mindset prevalent in universities today and the thought policing I don't believe most studies are accurate. Most of them are more likely than not fudged by the researchers who themselves are biased extremely to the left, and have a religious devotion to egalitarianism. There have been surveys where scientists admit to fabricating results and embellishing their findings.

The common cycle I see is 1. mainstream academics push fabricated study/experiment, 2. mainstream media promotes its, 3. legislation is passed based on it being true, 4. negative results follow, 5. a decade or so later after the damage has been done they admit there was fraud and own up to it.

In the experiment mice reached a point where they ceased reproducing and withdrew from social behaviour - the Beautiful Ones. This was described as permanent, and the population dwindles to extinction. This is not the case in replications. Once overcrowding ceases, normal behaviour resumes. The other replications also did not result in population collapse.
