I live a nice and interesting life. I have no deathwish, I have no desire to kill, I do not glorify war, but I do think war would somewhat fix some things in society. I use the word somewhat because war will not fix civilization. I think it will only set things back.

I think it would only fix things in an vague sense. It would be a call to action for many people and would encourage stronger community ties, but at the end of the day, a large scale war with our current technology would be more akin to a massacre and would be more destructive than any war in human history. It's hard to say if the world could ever fully recover after that.

If you gave a human the powers of Superman in real life 99.9% of the time they would fuck it up, either by being downright evil or making a plethora of possible mistakes. Not a war, but maybe riots or famines. People are spending their lives crusaiding against things that cause them mild discomfort or views with which they don't entirely agree as if it's a human right to not be challenged or inconvenienced. Collective suffering unites people, we don't need a war per se, but I think people have some desire for conflict at some level, and society will tear into itself to satiate that if it doesn't have an actual enemy collective to attack instead.
