At my parents' but what would be visible from my mattress on the living room floor of my old, poorly lit apartment is a shelf of mostly sci fi (Starship Troopers, Dune, 4 Crichton books, Lovecraft collection, etc) along with a classic horror collection (Poe, Bram Stoker, and others), a Design Concepts for Engineers textbook, and half used box of magnum condoms, all above a shelf of 2000's young adult fiction and some theatrical plays my ex never bothered to pick up and which i will never read. Tempted to pick up a copy of I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream to work towards completing my classic sci fi collection if i can find it at local bookstore but i dont have much time to read as a college student anyway.

I think it is even useful for atheists, as it is philosophical in its own way, and looks at religion from a completely different angle - first time I understood that there is no good matter vs evil matter fight in this world.
