Journal thread.

Why do you keep a journal?
What do you put in it?
Post a pic or an excerpt?

I keep a journal of my dreams: it is kind of therapeutic for me. Too personal to post a pic of it though.

Here is my “second brain” journal or planner. Keeps me from being degenerate and unproductive. This is from the previous two weeks.

I always wanted to keep a journal of random thoughts but everytime I try to start, I cant do it. It always feels cringe to me, and I cant think of what to write and I'm nervous about someone finding it

I occasionally write down dialogues with my imaginary waifu, does that count

I keep a journal as well as a pocketbook to track some thoughts that come and go that could mean something at some point. I'm pretty sure I'm insane which is why it's filled with conversations I have with myself.

Because I have multiple pages that are notes from meetings, ideas for books, references for phone numbers and contacts, pages dedicated to books that I’ve read, lists of books I want, records of dates, etc.

My journal is way too personal. Any excerpt would reveal way too much information.

>> No.14254444

I use my journal to write down the discussions I have with myself. I started wanting to write down things that happened during the day but that got too tedious.

Oh, I can see how that happened. A well placed comma would have helped.

I got started journaling/notebooking whatever in that manner. If I felt the need, I would use the notebook. Weeks could pass between usages. Now, partially because I am much busier, I use it daily- and multiple times a day at that. I really do think of it as a “second brain” that keeps track of things so that I am free to focus on immediate matters.

My last diary entry transcribed because my handwriting is too mysterious for plebs:
Things to do:
Get dog
Get some flypaper
Find my sword
New sneakers
Tobasco
Cat trainer

I did everything except the cat trainer. The sword was behind my couch because j was watching pitch perfect 3 and got paranoid about home invasion. A cat trainer teaches your cat tricks. I thought it would be a cool gift for my brother who got a cat

i feel dumb now for asking what a cat trainer is lol, it's not so common where i live so i thought it was behavior training or something. I used to get really paranoid when i was home alone as a child so i carried a big ass knife around but a sword is much cooler

I keep a 270 page rambling pseudonovel which might be interpreted as a journal, but in reality it’s just schizobabble which I’ve vowed to never publish or show to anybody since it would defeat the purpose of the book and since it goes into very detailed explanations on how to efficiently commit suicide for 2 pages while calling people who use inefficient methods of suicide or people who fail to kill themselves despite claiming to have tried to commit suicide “stupid fucking emotionally abusive parasites who don’t do their research, deriving satisfaction from the pity of others”

Nice drawings. I have a regular journal I just use to write in, be it little fictional texts, accounts on my day and feelings, or lists. I want to start a travel journal in which I combine writing and drawing, perhaps pictures too. I'm not very good at drawing but willing to learn.
