I'm an 11th grade student from Estonia, I'm 18. My specialty is IT. Just before going to "high school", my little brother was born and by now he is nearly 1.5 years old. Of course he is a baby/child, but I feel that he is putting too much of a strain on my studying. My lessons are only from Mon-Fri, but last from 8.45 AM until 4.55 PM daily. We also have shit loads of homework, so I get home and start doing them. Usually, I get it done by 8 PM, but I think I wouldn't be so tired and would comprehend more, when I'd study at school. Eg daily after 4.55 PM until like 7 PM - I'd get more done and I wouldn't be so distracted because of the little one. My problem is, that I'd like to spend time with my family, because the time spent with them is scarce anyway.

Any help on that dilemma?

I do, but the constant playing of his and them coming to "visit" and "check up on me" is distracting and time consuming. I know, that she (my mom) is trying to make most of my late years of me being at home, but I've told her numerous times not to disturb me, to which she has been "offended" to an extent.

be nice to your mom. being tired and stressed is part of living and having responsibilities. do your best and try to avoid getting on bad terms. if you have some deeper resentment of your mom try to talk it out reasonably with her before it gets worse.
