You know, I rarely have conversations with men about books either. To be honest the majority of my friends don't read unless its for school.

I once went through my facebook friends (200 friends) and looked at everything they had under "Books" and honestly less than 30 of them had anything, not counting those who only had 'The Bible' and 'Twilight'.

I only counted them if they had more than those two and Harry Potter. Most of those who did have something that weren't those three had less than four or five books listed. Only two or three friends had a good selection by /lit/'s standards and only one of them was male.

There are very few intelligent people to associate with in these parts. I still don't get why adding acquaintances on facebook is a bad thing? I just add people I know. It's not like I plan on associate with them or have any high standards about them. I just know them. If they seem like a cool person I might try to get to know them and be friends with them. The number of facebook friends doesn't have anything to do with the quality of friends. Most people just add acquaintances.
