I'm currently going to work. I think yesterday was the tipping point for me in realising how pointless my job is. The work is so low impact. It's fucking pointless.

It's an example of how even private sector bureaucracies can expand relentlessly.

It takes 60 meetings to do anything. My responsibilities are so boring. All the pioneering work was done years ago.

At least after today, I'll be in to the wagie home stretch. Wednesdays aren't so bad because they're before Thursday, which isn't so bad because it's before Friday, where I can sit at work while knowing I can look forward to no work on Friday evening.

If I can get through a few days without binging on junk food I will have more optimism.

Yesterday wasn't the tipping point for anything. You whinge like every day possesses finality, as if THIS is the significant, deciding moment, but actually, it's just a long winding road of whinge-arsing rubbish because you're a self-pitying, self-loathing faggot who makes a magnificence out of his squalor on the literature board of an antiquated meme factory.

Yes, bears shit in the woods, and if bears had the faculty of reason to describe shitting, location and the woods, we might think the bear dipped beneath the dignity of its own reason to continually describe its disgust with its own activity while continuing to engage in it. So yes, this thread evokes in me a sense of disgust, surely what the OP intended. Bravo.

How much does it mean to you to make a difference?

If it means more than money, go get a nursing assistant job at a hospice/SNF. If money means more to you than being impactful, start rising to the top ruthlessly and playing politics. Otherwise you're exactly where you should be for your level of ambition.

You are making money for people who are richer than you. Work will always be pointless. The system we are in is not the only way to do things. Look into the resource based economy of Peter joseph.
