I am amazed. This actually stands very well on its own as a fantasy series, better than many prominent Western fantasy books. I thought Light Novels were garbage, why did you lie to me /lit/?

It's pretty much all downhill from there though Op.
Aside from S&W I don't think there are many other LN series worth reading, I've yet to find one at least. And it does have some flaws that get more noticeable in the later books, like how the author keeps overtly stating the characters feelings to the point that it gets annoying.
I'm not saying that you shouldn't try out other works once you've finished these books, but don't get your hopes up too much.

There are probably 18 light novels with some value and Westerns get the best of the best. Most of it are a mix of pulp novels and chick-lit for specific groups of people, they're cheap to produce and only need like 2000 buyers every month to keep going.
