Most of his works don't require too much specific background, but when I was working my way through The Concept of Anxiety I really felt like I was expected to had read through Hegel's logic a few times. A lot of talk of the world-historic and categories. Fear and Trembling however was somewhat challenging but smooth enough with just some rereading.
