I'm depressed, nihilistic and tired of society's madness.

What book will fix my life?
Fiction or Non-fiction?

No self-help books please, they only make the matter worse.

Read some fiction. Start dreaming. Escapism.

f you hate your life as it is now, no book will fix you. however you can find the means to get yourself back there and live a healthy life as it can be; not like what people do when faced with a choice between an addiction addiction or something else that you can choose to accept and embrace. for the rest of us, the choice is, to stop doing the things that are causing the problems. what you can do is to embrace your inner child's voice telling you that you can't live with a life you hate anymore than you feel they hate you today, then, get ready for the new life in which you can live with joy, freedom, and abundance.
for the majority of us, this new life can be hard to accept; but this is when we have to put forward the courage to make the decision. let me tell you how to do that... if you're reading this you can feel good in your heart as you do the things that you can now do in the light. when the new life that you are living is over, you are ready to give your inner child the final push to push ahead.

I'm not exactly sure how, but In Search of Lost Time cured my depression. You have to read till the very end, though.

Not saying he will escape death just a premature death.
There are enough possible reason to doubt ending your life out of your own volition to be acceptable.
