So, has anyone ever debunked him or is he just undisputedly right on everything?

It's hard to dialogue with Nietzsche because of his writing style. Take Heidegger, who crititicized Nietzsche's Will to Power, he takes Will to Power as being a metaphysical position of Nietzsche. Others see the concept of Will to Power as valid, but also as sort of irony, it comes from Schopenhauer's Will to Live. Nietzsche inserts humor in his philosophy, you no longer know what is serious or just half-serious. It's hard to have the correct interpretation to criticize.

His entire philososphy is coming from a place of weakness and insecurity.
He died from syphillis and was an alcoholic.
Im not judging him, Im just telling you that he was a weak man who thought and behaved like a weak man, so you should take everything he says with a grain of salt.

Leaving aside his first books, it's hard to take him seriously as a philosopher.

I took the (wrong) choice of studying philosophy in college. Only once I had to study anything related to him, and it was a brief module during Ethics I, when we had a brief introduction to Schopenhauer followed by Nietzsche's ethics based on The Birth of Tragedy.

In his later works he comes out as nothing close to an academic or professional. This is natural since he didn't have a high opinion of academy. But because of this his later writings read more like literary books that philosophical writings.

I think it's great to read him, and everyone should at some point tackle some of his major works. But due to the inconsistency of his thought throughout his life, the literary and often ironic way he writes, and the lack of any well-constructed arguments (he mostly went for the aphoristic style), it's hard to find solid grounds for any philosophical view attributed to him (or to the position itself).

The cause of his death is not known. And you are applying Nietzsche's method of desconstruction, using psychological motivations.

I have a BA in Philosophy, so allow me to state the academic consensus on Nietzsche. He’s a stylist. His philosophy is mean-spirited and un-theoretical. I mean compare him to Ellul and Singer and even Kant (whose racism diminishes his reputation) and you see men with coherent systems on how to live life. Nietzsche nah. I recommend Singer and students of Spinoza (never read first hand sources as they’re all racist and outdated) and live according to one of their systems. I like Plato’s. Do what is good! Simple right. Always tell the truth, love and talk to everyone, don’t be racist or sexist, and be a good law abiding citizen. Nietzches sexism ain’t got nothing on that

Nietzsche is influenced by Machiavelli and he says be deceptive. He's also racist and mysogonistic. Loeb and Leopold and the Nazis were influenced by Nietzsche, so he knew who he was writing for. The fact that he's not being taught anymore is a good thing anons, but don't ask me, ask my girlfriend. Virgins.

You're so retarded. Nietzsche was a teetotaler and syphilis is just some scholars' best guess. If he had it, it wasn't from excessive sex (he had almost none), but from a time when he visited a brothel as a student.

I halfway agree and disagree. Yes, we have objectively made the world a much more comfortable place as we’ve progressed in both economic and social strata, but we’ve gone too far. It is not healthy for society to be completely liberated in the social arena in that there is no injunction towards undisputably degrading habits and lifestyles. The average person does not possess the capabilities required to be endowed with total personal freedom. You can see the consequences of such notions simply by the explosion of gay/trans/poly movements and their aftereffects. The higher type may be allotted this unbounded lifestyle, but the average man takes it and runs his society into the ground.

Socrates debunked him by his life and death. It's clearly visible that under ranting against him there are admiration and envy. He was everything Nietzsche couldn't become.
