How do I find the philosopher that is the right one for me?

Depends on what philosophical subject you want to read about.

My favourite writers are DFW, Irvine Welsh & Pynchon. So I guess addiction, anxieties, alienation, the state of politics & the unfairness of it all. Any help is appreciated

This website is a priceless resource for philosophical investigation: https://plato.stanford.edu/
Use it to search for the philosophical topics that interest you. Avoid anything that seems boring to you. Philosophical education must begin with romance, the inspiration of curiosity. Eventually an author/book will romance you enough to compel you to read it because of how interesting it seems. This will begin your adventure, and the entire point of philosophical adventures isn't to find the "one true philosophy," but to use a growing understanding to propel one towards further adventures into the infinite unknowns of the world of ideas.
It's worth it my friend, once you get hooked it feels more pleasurable than video games!
