Why would you sit at home on a Friday night reading a book when you could be out doing this?

Why wouldn't you?

It’s not as as fulfilling as you’d think.

Because I like books and I don't like that.

I'm broke and my town's small.

Truly it's just not that fun going out that getting your brain numbed and disoriented by one or more intoxicants and pounding loud music and sweating bodies once you've started reading books seriously. There should have been a warning saying that once you read you can never go back, and I wouldn't do so now even if I had the choice

Books are comfy

That looks awful. Why would I want to do that?

All things in moderation, and my friends and I work fairly incompatible schedules so we only get to go out and party every once in a while these days.

My friday night was reserved for Tron Legacy and reading about peasant families in medieval England. Today I will go to a party and drop xtc.

When you get close to 30, going to the club every week loses its appeal.
You start to hang out with friends to talk/stay home with your girlfriend and pet to play video games or read etc. It's a comfy lifestyle.

I don't know what single people do however. :/ They mostly frequent clubs more often.

The only good thing about it is the opportunity to get laid. When you realise casual sex is disgusting and vastly inferior to sex in a strong relationship, this kind of activity loses its appeal.

>> No.13937826

Because I am a vile person and I get attached to people too quickly and don’t want to put myself in the situation where we become close and they realize what they are dealing with and leave me so I just stay home and find compassion in books instead.

But even in a loving relationship you often think about fucking another girl. You're not on the verge of betrayal or something but you'd like it. Or have a threesome or whatever.
