The people on here are literally incapable of doing something as basic as dissecting a passage and identifying the writer's main argument. I've seen people on here mistake one minor tangential detail of a book to be the main argument of the entire book. Then they call me retarded when I point out that the minor detail was not the main argument of the book.

Someone asked for a tl;dr of How To Read A Book and claimed that the main argument of the book was "It is stupid to read a fictional book the same way as a nonfiction book" which was something that was only covered halfway through the book for one single paragraph then dropped.
