i'm re-reading it right now, finished chapter one. fucking love Mersault. this laredo translation doesnt seem as funny as the one i read before i got my own copy for chapter one but at least the rest of the laredo was funny.

Only read the first story in it so far, not entirely what I was expecting by "erotic stories," but they're amusing anyway. It has the illustrations from way back as well, and those are pretty interesting. It almost feels like I'm reading a romantic comedy at first and then everyone dies.

I've enjoyed them. There is a lot of subjective and objective time between each novel and it's almost like it's a new Takeshi each time. A person could read any three novels and not get left behind.

It's interesting, I like where it's going, but it's a little convoluted and overly descriptive. The premise is intriquing, but I've been reading it on and off for about a week now, and 100 pages in a week is an all time low for me, so maybe it's not as interesting as I believe.
