Why is it all the major Christian thinkers of the 20th Century were accommodationists and subversives like Teilhard and Tillich, whereas the major Islamic thinkers were revolutionary theocrats like Maududi and Qutb?

Because the Aryan spirit wants to know and solve metaphysical issues first, and the Semitic spirit wants to solve social issues first. In the Aryan sense "solve" means solvere, to loosen and unravel the apparent Rätsel of something by showing its inner Ent-wicklung. In the Semitic sense "solve" means dissolvere, to disintegrate or essentially remove as a problem. The Aryan wants to break through to the eternal where all things are consistent, but the Semite wants to clear chaotic clutter away when it encroaches from the fringes of the diurnal. The crisis of the modern world is common to everybody, but the Occidental, Aryan man wants to strike at it like a Welträtsel, and complete the movements necessary for its self-transcendence, already immanent within it. The Semite simply wants to diagnose problems and clear them away, so that the diurnal can flow normally again. Accordingly, all interesting Western thinkers are metaphysicians in the higher sense, while Eastern thinkers operationalize metaphysics for the sake of the social. This is why Oriental calls to return to ahistoricity, the immanent rhythm of ritual life for its own sake, castes, etc., will always sound alien in the Aryan ear. It's also why Aryans invented science, history, and so on.

Christianity is older than Islam and has been integrated into Western civilization for so long that the Christian thinkers of the 20th Century, logically, thought they could adapt to the great changes that occurred in it. After all, they'd adapted to changes in the West in the past.

The overwhelming onslaught of atheism, materialism, atomization, and apathy pretty much caught Western Christianity off guard and it's taken them a few decades to come to grips with it.

You are beginning to see a more aggressive, less accomodationist streak among Christian thinkers these days, particularly in Orthodoxy and Catholicism. Look up "Catholic integralism" some time.

Fuck off, Ahmed. G. K. Chesteron was the most important Christian thinker of the 20th century and he was an orthodox Catholic who hated subversives.

I believe it is because Christianity has come to accept liberalism as a political system, which results inevitably in accepting it as a system of values and an economic system. In both cases, it comes into conflict with Christian values; yet the churches seemed to refuse to engage with it and instead play their role as conservative bodies, that is “conservative” as the mere dialectical opposite to progressives, nothing but a road bump. They don’t want political power, hence they don’t get it.

The situation in a subjugated Muslim world, on the other hand, required a different way. They had to take out colonialists and secular nationalists, as well as established monarchies in some cases. This is why the Brotherhood succeeds where political Christianity failed: they actively strive to achieve cultural hegemony.
