Hey /lit/

Was wondering if anyone here was interested in transhumanism or knew any really good novels that relate to the topic. I’m specifically interested in stories that deal with people bettering themselves with medicine, drugs, tech, body modding, etc.
It’s a topic that’s interested me always but it’s difficult to find any literature that’s enjoyable to read while also making intellectual statements. Someone once pointed me to a good list on here but I can’t seem to find it now.

human brains will never be fully linked with computers, it's always retards who watch scifi movies and have absolutely 0 knowledge in any science who think this will happen.
it's already possible to "improve" many aspect of the human body but it is always inferior to the original human body and it's counterproductive.

The argument always comes down to super intelligent ai. We may not be able to map out our brain and engineer an advanced brain computer, but an ai possibly could.

What seemed impossible becomes possible as technology progresses, and how it is done is often much different than how we theorized would work.

that's pure dunning kruger effect.
the brain doesn't act in a logical or binary way and it uses physical changing/movement, biochemicals (proteins, neurotransmitters, etc) along electricity to transfer signals. since the brain doesn't act in a logical way, it may not have patterns or behave in a linear way meaning every single possible thought by every single person needs to be recorded so a machine can understand it.
also we still don't really fully understand how the brain and consciousness work so yeah it's impossible
