>Zhuangzi
Great lad and actually a great read.
Tao te Ching is on its own pretty inaccessible for the modern non Chinese reader.
Zhuangzi on the other hand has some really interesting parables that read entertaining and engaging.

I Ching has nothing to do with Taoism. What a stupid and ignorant photo

I used an ancient fortune telling book from china and it’s divinations speaking of future failure and misfortune made me feel dreadful and anxiety-ridden.
Not to mention that none of it came true.

Incomprehensible mess of a philosophy. Somehow they mix Parmenides and Heraclitus and hide the paradox behind mysticism. Might be the most miserably servile way to live outside of Cynicism, which at least is consistent in its worldview.
That said the poetry is pretty.

If you want to get into reading more esoteric Taoist texts, the I Ching becomes very important.

When you meet one of them they will agree but say some 1000 chinese have attained the tao, but non chinks will always fail. They are as skeptical of chinks as of westerners tbqh but westerners never can achieve it.

It is good. The Chuang Tzu and Tao Te Ching are essential reading.
