I did this here on /lit/ a few months ago. We even started throwing insults at each other and all our replies were removed and in the end we ended up respecting each other and walking out amicably. It was a good shitpostfest.

I'm always self concious about straight up making shit up. However, i do talk about shit i only have a wikipedia tier knowledge, so i make inferences and make shit up about things that are tangentially true to the point so that it adds "credibility".
The fun thing is that no one is able to refute it, because /lit/ is the home of pseuds. If i were discussing with actual smart people i'd be getting BTFO left and right.

I always judge who won the argument by the ammount of upvoates/downvoates ratio. Also by how much the anon is writing. If you respond with one word responses and imblying nonsense you lost.

I think The Dozens is more reliable. The party that resorts to lame "no u dumb" will lose by default. Ad-hominems work only when they're witty. Related, passive-aggressive and snide remarks are even worse, unless the author is a woman.

just don't get into an argument unless you know you're right beforehand (ie they're claiming something you know is factually wrong). if you want to see the other poster "reply" anyway, it's better to formulate it like an inquisitive question
