what are some books that help you to better endure the death of a good friend?

There's basically nothing you can get from a book. It happened to me last year. Shot himself in his car one night. Worst part was he was one of the only friends I had who I could discuss /lit/ stuff with.

I wish I could tell you what does work but there's really nothing. Just time. Maybe not even that.

Stoner is a good novel about death, after the war and everything, I felt throughout the novel it was building towards the end of stoners life, it made me think about our good friend death. Sorry OP hope you're alright.

literature is not powerful enough to nurse your heart, listen to music instead.
