Does your library use it? Mine just uses some weird fiction-nonfiction / genre / first-three-letters of an author's surname system to categorize books, it's not very agreeable or efficient at all, especially when all the interlibrary loan systems use different categorization systems of their own.

Like a lot of people on here are saying, Library of Congress system is the best system. It's not without some flaws but these flaws aren't absent in the DDS either, namely bloat in certain sections, particularly the QAs as computers have come to dominate more and more of our lives.

LoC is best for research.
