His voice was—I cannot truly describe it—oily, like something dripping, something thick and vile; and the mere fact that such a sound could form itself into words seemed the greatest obscenity of all.
“I have delved too far into the darkness, my son, and my ending can only come with the final mystery. I seek it. My studies are almost complete. It is the culmination of all my labors. But there is one thing I need, one thing I have come back for.”
And in my dream I asked him, “Father, what is it?”
“Your sister.”

Because it was? WW1 was preceded by an insane concentration of wealth in the hands of the few. You had borderline feudal slavery for most in Europe, and huge parts of Africa, South America, and SE Asia were under brutal colonial rule.

Then connected wars erupt that destroy the adult male population of France, litter the Adriatic coast with corpses, set brother against brother in Russia, fill the alps with frozen Italian corpses, and destroy the Ottoman Empire.

In the aftermath the 1918 Spanish Flu kills more than the war. The "peace" treaty postpones another war instead of stopping it (and people knew this at the time), and sows the seeds of everything that has gone wrong in the Middle East in the following century, the Yugoslav genocides and wars, the Vietnam War, and the Holocaust.

The world was going to shit you credulous cockgoblin.

Nigga stop being such a defeatist and stop being a lying melodramatic pussy.
The causes (notice the plural) of WWI were not something as simple as "insane concentration of wealth in the hands of the few". There was no "borderline feudal slavery" in Europe and colonial affairs were businesses as usual (which you of course do not like).
Everything else you posted is just pure bullshit. But the shit cherry on top of this pile of manure is you (somehow) linking WWI to Middle East (who was, is and will continue to be a shithole of the highest order without anyone's intervention), the Yugoslav wars (of which you know nothing about), Vietnam War (what the flying fuck), and teh HOLOCAUST (the antisemitism being present far before WWI even started, for instance in the Dreyfus affair ).
What I am trying to say here you need to go back. And maybe revoke your Internet access, so you can experience true horror.

>But the shit cherry on top of this pile of manure is you (somehow) linking WWI to Middle East (who was, is and will continue to be a shithole of the highest order without anyone's intervention)

Ahistorical nonsense. What about the fall of the Ottoman Empire? What about the Sykes-Picot Agreement?

What is the creation of Yugoslavia itself along unstable lines with the fall of the Austro-Hungarians?

Actually writing a story with time travel trope.
I researched the stuff and watched Steins Gate only to finally do it my way.
In my story, time-traveling is possible but really hard and kept in control by fate, paradoxes are denied (you can't get real far in the past to ask your father not to give birth to you, buzzing sounds will alter what your father heard and the future may or may not be changed but you will be born anyway) and only a few characters can time-travel. (There's no time machine and this is high-level fantasy stuff)

Is this trope good enough?

Le Guin, Andre Norton, James Tiptree, and CJ Cherryh are examples of how sad it is that the modern feminist wave has destroyed the viewing of female authors. The Left Hand of Darkness, and the Dispossessed, to focus on le Guin, are really thoughtful uses of the fantastic to examine real life. However, there is never a sacrifice of writing or plot to appeal to wokeness.

On a personal note, this had a lot more weeb shit in it than I thought it would.
