I’m getting to those. The fact that there are other off topic threads doesn’t make your off topic thread alright. Boards are only good if we work to make them that way.

Go to meetups. Critique groups, book clubs. Most people will be vapid and uninteresting. Keep trying until you find some that aren't.

I can relate 100%. You even posted my favorite Terry pic. I have no idea how man. I think some people are just meant to not fit in. I think our only chance is to find people like ourselves. I'm not saying we're special rare snowflakes either, just that all the other people like us are also isolated and so it's difficult to find each other, no matter how many of us there are.
I have one friend who is kind of on the same spectrum of autism as me, we both have the exact same very obscure views on the world and politics and stuff, but we don't hang out because he likes to hang out with normies. Maybe people like us are boring and don't know what to do with other people like ourselves. Maybe I could work on some creative project with likeminded individuals. Or work out and stuff.

Very narrow, studious people playing games of oneupmanship. They knew all the right ideas and academic words to use but didn't really have any spark of Independent intelligence.
Then again there were like the same 5 people in all my classes.

Never been to a book club. I'm in the wealthy suburb of a large midwest city.

The only thing they're interested in is generic vidya, marvel movies, and boring shit like that.
There favorite book is always farenheit 451 and their favorite movie is Dark Knight Rises.

I just want someone to be able to drink good liquor, watch good movies, and talk about interesting books with someone that its not totally lost on.

I was really lucky and able to get a gf that is also a non-npc. The problem is that were the only two people we know like us and we've been pretty much isolated from everyone else for years.

I have people who I can play vidya or /tg/ shit with but past those narrow interests it's like their brain is on standby mode.

I get what you're saying. I sort of have an aversion to book clubs because I like to read my own stuff and I'd love to have friends to recommend books to/be recommended books by. But maybe a book club is a place to make those friends. I don't know.

I mean take like something simple like whiskey. When you first start drinking whiskey its probably going to be some generic cheap popular brand. It's going to taste pretty decent to you.

And that's where 99% of people stop. They like something, dont think about it, and just ask for more of that same thing. Someone who wants to develop a good taste for whiskey will try a large variety of whiskey at every price point, type, and level of obscurity. They would ask themselves "exactly what do I like about this whiskey?" Eventually you'll get to a point where you will start to enjoy depths and differences in whiskey that you would never would have even been able to detect before. Likewise the whiskeys that you first tasted will seem like simplistic trash that you can barely even stand to drink anymore.

It's the same process with anything from movies, television, books, architecture, video games, food, drinks, anything. Its just about trying lots of new things and developing yourself to experience depths of pleasure that you were never able to find before.
