Any extremist view, philosophical, political, or otherwise, is a sign of immaturity. Overly ideological, not pragmatic . Buddhism is extreme in the sense of extreme humility, and its anti-action views. Desire is a natural part of being human, trying to quell it will always be unnatural. The best ethics to live your life is according to the Nicomachean Ethics. That is, against extremes of any kind.
