No author has convincingly proven that my life is worth living

It's because yours in particular isn't. Even a literary genius can't prove the impossible

Okay, then kill yourself, or live in misery. Your choice.

Ever read The Gay Science by Nietzsche?

Be pragmatic, work with what you got and construct your own meaning. The fact that there isn't a generalized response to the value of life can taste a little bitter, but take comfort in knowing that whatever ethos you align yourself with is as valid and criticizable as any other.

You have to do that yourself. Then become that author to help others like you.

>been miserable every single day of my life
>favorite author is dazai
>dazai was miserable every single day of his life
fewer and fewer reasons not to sound off. antinatalists are correct. what suffering trapped in this flesh prison and thrown into serfdom.
i'm so miserable. i can't even be happy when something good happens, because i'm just anticipating the moment it gets ripped away from me. all my efforts will come to nothing and i will have suffered here for no reason
god if i had a gun right now i'd blow my brains out

God you're pathetic. Stop being so concerned with yourself and just do something. Happiness is not defined by what you own or what happens to you, but it's all a state of mind.

Why is being a doomer prevalent among the "intelligensia"? Is it because it's easier to critique than to find the beauty in things?
Why is it that so many thousands of intelligent individuals throughout history have lived exceptional, happy lives, but the majority nowadays who count themselves among the learned are resigned to hating life despite the endless beauty around them?
Seriously curious for an insight into this. Why do people respect authors who say life sucks rather than those who say life is beautiful? Seems like pseud signaling. A race to the bottom to show off how little we care! How ridiculous.

The questions you need to ask yourself are the following:
Are you a Werther or a Faust?
Are you a young Rodion or an old Raskolnokov?
Are you a Humbert or a Humbert?
