I've read parts of the script, seem the film a few times. I'm waiting for that book that Cameron says is on the way, I'm sure it will be shit but maybe he's as good an author as film maker.

is the script that good? i thought the story was cliche as fuck. characters too. the first time i saw the movie i knew who was going to fight who, why, who was going to be "brothers" with whom ...it was all so predictable. i own the movie though, as it's one of the best-looking movies ever. the story isn't bad. i would give it a c or maybe c+

so you think $$$= quality? maybe with production value alone. i said in my initial post that avatar was one of the best looking movies ever. you can't buy your way into an original story though. if you think the story was original try reading more. or watching other movies. it'll be worth it to you. i promise.
