Experiencing it in person is something else entirely. I witnessed this myself as a young school boy. We were outside playing when it began to snow. An African classmate was with us. It was his first snowfall. He went mad with glee and started running around shouting incomprehensibly with crazed abandon.

I am certain. My memories of the jubilant African are seared into my mind. He was one of only two black students in our school for one thing. There are many stories... Once, we were tasked with going down to the school entrance to accept a big stack of pizza boxes from the pizza man--our school ordered pizza once per week. Our African friend spontaneously challenged the pizza-man to a basketball game whereupon he vigorously defeated the much older pizza-man at an impromptu game of Twenty-one. We were very proud that day. A few years later, I provided the African with pornography, which had been sourced from the discarded magazines of a friend's uncle--this was before the Internet really took-off. He promptly went around showing the pornography to every girl in class, his booming laughter echoing all the while. I got in trouble for that one.
