Hinduism is basically the Ingsoc of world religions. Why would anyone attempt to use it as a mode of mysticism or philosophy?

Because it's centered around primordial Hyperborean Aryan metaphysics

Hinduism supports oppression of the person, in the concept of dharma. A man's dharma is identical to his forefathers', and all of his children will have the same dharma. Even when the dharma is not what a man wishes to do or is even good at, he must do it, for it is the only way the universe can work; not by pursuing what you're good at, but obeying to the one that gives you something to be good at.

"Ingsoc of religions" isn't the best term for it, but both attempt to remove the aspect of personal freedom by telling you that you must follow the flow of the masses.

i can not see a fundamental difference between the hindu caste system and the estates of the realm or the four occupations that the chinese had.

All that was a (failed) way to keep Aryan invaders as a racially separate ruling class from the conquered Dravidinians. It's just a barrier to entry set up by the new ruling class to keep membership restricted to the nation who conquered the Bronze Age world.

The difference is it explicitly supports a racial caste. The sons of rulers share the same right and obligation to rule as their fathers. The sons of peasants share the same right and obligation to stay as peasants. And so on with each generation in dharmic perpetuity. Dharma is genetic, it stays within nations and is earned by inheritance.

The chinese had a fair amount of social mobility, if you worked hard over generations your family would actually rise through the classes.
