"THIS PLACE" DOES NOT HAVE THE PSEUDODEEP AND EDGY CIRCLE JERK THAT A FORUM IS MORE LIKELY TO HAVE.

>> No.1319376

I've been searching for this too, OP, as well as maybe some literature-related IRC channels. Sites like LibraryThing and Goodreads have some good discussion groups for specific subjects, with Goodreads being a little more active and LibraryThing being a bit more focused. Other than those, I haven't had any luck.

YOUR POSTING ON IT DUH

Well, Gaia Online has a semi-active Books forum. It's mostly young adult discussion (which is appropriate given the demographics there), but you get some good literature discussions occasionally.

Sorry, I don't associate with people who watch anime.

>> No.1319382

I don't think everyone there watches anime (and the Books forum and Manga forums are seperate). But it definitely is a younger user base, so it's probably not what you're looking for.

4chan is primarily an anime discussion forum.

What are you saying no to? You're on 4chan, and the banners on 4chan are anime-related. That's pretty much all the chart is saying, and both things are true.

Actually I just hate blacks

>> No.1319392

Banners don't represent the general population of 4chan THAT much. It's not a weeaboo special interest site or something, it's a place where underage people of all backgrounds gather to express their hatred of black people.

4chan was created by 14-year-old Something Awful forums member and anime fan Moot with his mom's credit card to mimic Japanese image board ( a discussion board that primarily focuses around posting images) 2chan

Capsguy, the point is not that everyone on 4chan right now is a weeaboo, the point is that the website came about by weeaboo means. Meaning that if you enjoy the website, you shouldn't be so full of hate for anime, as you wouldn't have /lit/ without it.

Plenty for Murakami, yeah. But for general Japanese lit threads, the first dozen or so responses are some variance of "go back to /a/", "die weeaboo", or just "kill yourself."

I have yet to make one successfully without it derailing into that :(

But those are really book cataloging sites that just have pretty alright forums. You should definitely check out LibraryThing though, if you want less trolling.
