Finished spring snow and wasn't too crazy about it. Is the rest of the series worth reading?

I can't believe you are planning to ate the whole thing. Respectable. Watch the movie of Mishima too, and Shigurui, I think are good complements about the mind of the samurai.

I was considering buying the entire tetralogy so I was wondering the same thing. Is it worth reading through it all?

Wait do people actually buy and read books by /li/ meme authors like Mishima?

Why didn't you like it?

A lot of the "/lit/ memes" are actually very good. You're fucking stupid if you discredit a book for simply making it onto a /lit/ chart.

every book in the western literary canon is bad because lit sometimes has posts that mention the authors' names

Second book is the best, then it goes downhill. I feel like the last two are really underdeveloped. That said, I think Spring Snow is a goddamn excellent novel. If you want to get a feel for how far Runaway Horses interests you I suggest the short story 'Patriotism', which should be easy to find and is the same sort of theme. The novel really develops it though.

The next one is worth it, by far the best of the series.
