>And so, the story begins with a good start
>And thus, the first stop of the story begins.
>Note: Centered words in italics means that a track is supposed to play while reading the paragraphs below it. You know, to give it a real sense of realism…
This is so bad it has to be intentional

Long does not mean good.

No, it's a piece of shit but still you would expect something like the odyssey or the bible to be the longest but no it's a smash bros fanfic

>> No.13165403

>>13165331

It's still longer than anything people here ever wrote.

>> No.13165426

Autism is the main tool for writing long stories.
You may not realize it but all great epics were also fanfics written by autists. Just replace Videogame characters with religious characters like gods and heroes, monsters, etc.

>> No.13165463

he started writing it after Brawl came out, and he's still at it 10 years later.
I wonder how he incorporated Smash 4 and Ultimate.

>> No.13165560

I think the second longest is a Stephanie McMahon/Chris Jericho fanfiction story https://www.fanfiction.net/s/2094087/1/Hugs-and-Kisses

>> No.13165582

The longest piece of literature ever written is Cent mille milliards de poèmes by Raumond Queneau and I'm fucking sick of everyone getting this shit wrong.

Reading one poem every minute 24/7, it would take more than 190 MILLION YEARS to read Cent mille milliards de poèmes. THAT is the longest piece of literature ever written. THAT'S IT. FUCK THIS MISINFORMATION BULLSHIT

>> No.13165592

Its kind of neat idea. I played the first few smash games but theres absolutely no structure or story. You just have an expansive universe that one could mold into something coherent. I applaud the ingenuity but im sure the writing is dogshit nonetheless

>>13165582
It does not count, it is 10^14 only if you count every single combination.
By itself, it's not long.

>> No.13165631

>>13165609

It absolutely counts you dip. The entire point of the book is to count every single combination. It's a ten-page book that contains 100,000,000,000,000 sonnets and to "finish" the book means reading every single one.

Each verse of each poem is a separate strip, you flip them like pages independantly of the others.

That allows you to combine the verse from the 10 original sonnet as you see fit, creating new sonnets with every variation.

Basically it's a combinatorial trick, however I would expect most of the poems to be nonsensical or shit.

Still you have to wonder, out of all those combinaisons...what's the likelihood of having at least a few masterpieces ?

brevity is difficult, but an abstract is that it's about what makes real intelligence/intelligence v pain. less abstract: basically the power goes out because of a type of virus, and in one part of the country technology gets exponential, in another part they revert back to the industrial ages.
I promised to post it all for free on lit, and I will. Almost finished proofing the first part (350 pages), then will format and post the free link.

definitely literary/character based. more like a family epic but instead of being based on the Napoleonic Wars, it's based on the (admittedly lame) idea of post-apoc. Though I started it in 2007, before the genre got BTFO, and the actual virus is a very unique thing having to do with intelligence and not "zombies"
