Hell no, China has reached its current position by largely rejecting everything distinctive in its own traditions and adopting models from the west. The most you could argue for is a degree of synthesis, but that happened where the traditions were relatively compatible anyway (eg both east and west obviously have autocratic political traditions)

The fact that you can say 'like it always does' and 'countless times' is pretty telling- China's historically remarkable for its staying power.

Also, c'mon, even if you insist on following some dumb historical cycle theory, China isn't even close to being due a collapse. The empire was last reunited in 1949, should get a couple of hundred years of unity out of that at the very least...

Based retard. China may continue to grow in strength, but they will never match the pinnacle of US or UK global dominance. The type of war that it would require to achieve that would be so destructive as to leave China in a relatively weaker position even if they won. Plebian: Western Philsophy
Contrarian: Eastern Philsophy
Patrician: Precolumbian Philsophy

>When looking at the Aztec religion, one needs to look at the Lay Religion and the Priestly Religion. The Lay Religion saw the world as being very similar to Greek Paganism (Not Roman or Greco-Roman, but Ancient Greek): The world is run fickle, capricious, occasionally cruel gods that play favorites and hand out unreasonably retributive punishments for acts that, in many cases, aren't actually harmful to people who often were not acting with any kind of malice or immorality.

>The Priestly Religion, however, saw that because of the constitutional monism of the world, there were no gods. There were no priests, either, or worshipers, or temples, or anything: There is just Teotl. The gods themselves were really just clusters of processes. The god of war is not just a glowy dude who goes around fighting: He literally is war as a concept. The god of love is not just a glowy lady that goes around playing matchmaker: He literally is love as a concept. The god of rot and decay is not just an ugly guy who goes around wallowing in shit: He literally is rot and decay.

>The question of the sentience of these processes comes up. If the gods are just clusters of processes, are they really gods at all? The answer is: since people are clusters of processes, are they people at all? The answer to both is yes. Rather than sentience being some property of abstractable reason as it is in the West, under this process philosophy/theology the gods just have a different kind of intelligence than humans. So does your chair, however. These intelligences can be incredible (gods), quite good (human), poor (cows), to basically non-existent (your chair) because intelligence is not the ability to "reason" as it is in the West but is instead a property of processes' capacity to interact with other processes because of processes, via the observation of patterns and the repetition of patterns when engaging in processes.

>All processes, then, are really just zooming in on an arbitrary closeup of Teotl. A single leaf is a process; so is the branch, and the tree, and the grove, and the forest, and the ecosystem, and the world, and the solar system, and the galaxy, and the galactic cluster, and the universe, and all of reality. We, for our human purposes, just zoom in on specific parts of it.

Read "Aztec Philsophy: Understanding a world in motion" and "Aztec Thought and culture" if this interests you. There's some stuff about the Maya and other Mesoamerican civilizations like the Mixtec, Zapotec etc, or Andean ones like the Inca, but there's less sources to work with, thank Spain for that.

The chinks lie about everything. Fake things are a cornerstone of their culture, if they can lie about stuff and fuck someone over and get away with it - they will do it without any hesitation. That is because chinese people have no souls - it has been scientifically proven through a variety of psychological studies. You can also convince yourself of the fact by going to China. It's honestly one of the worst places in the world, with the worst people. Stirner would have burned his books if he ever saw the state of modern China. They're tasteless, lying, deceiving, obsequious, servile insects without any sense of purpose, meaning. The whole modern philosophy of the chinese people consists of one word and one word only - money. That's the only thing they care about and will always care about. You can have a friend who you've known for ten years, but if he's chinese, as soon as he gets an opportunity to fuck you over for 10 cents they'll do it in a whim. The funnies thing is that the chinese people have these armies online to try to protect the image of china (note the collectivist nature, they have nothing to be proud of individualistically, so they resort to the propaganda and indoctrination they've been taught at school as their sense of pride). And it couldn't be more obvious when people do it, it's honestly so funny. What's sad is that people fall for it. For all the people unaware of China and the chinese spirit (if you can even call it that), if you can't actually go to China to see it for the shithole that it is, watch youtube videos of westerners living in china, they will show you the actual situation that's going on there. However, the content has become more and more scarce through all the death threats the chinks have been sending these truth tellers and modern totalitarian censorship in China.
In conclusion, don't fall for the superpower china meme. It will never happen, and it's obvious to anyone with a slightest bit of knowledge about the chinese.

Cheating, lying and deceiving is so deeply ingrained in their culture that they even had a protest when the school cracked down on cheating in an exam. Literally their complain was that EVERYONE in china was cheating so preventing them from cheating gave others an unfair disadvantage. If you go into any store (that's not a megastore) in china, you are looked at as an IDIOT if you believe the storeowners are honest and give you a fair price off the go, and they make it obvious that they do. It's always a game of who can fuck over whom the most. They all see life as a zero sum game, and nothing else matters except how much they earn. If you go to a typical store you can literally often barter down 5-10 times the price, especially if you're a foreigner (the chinese absolutely hate foreigners, they're some of the most racist people on the planet and they hate the west since it reminds them of how inferior their culture is). China also has literally 0 culture. You'll NEVER see a good chinese movie, because there exist none. Honestly, try and go find a good chinese movie. Not from Taiwan, not Japan, but China. There exist none! They are soulless, tastless insects with absolutely no appreciation of art or anything that goes beyond just plain money. But no wonder, all this coming from a culture that is accepting of torturing animals alive, eating dogs (this is NOT a meme, LOOK IT UP, it's everywhere in china). I honestly hate the chinese so much, and if you have any morals you should too.

>Mass murdering

No moreso then other parts of the world. The idea that they sacrificed hundreds of thousands of people a year is a meme that's not supported by either reliable accounts or archeological evidence.

For example, even cortes, who already exaggerated accounts of their barbarity in his accounts to justify his actions (since his letters to Charles V were largerly an attempt to avoid execution for his expedition, which was illegal and in doing so he commited treason, to the point where the entire reason the intial smallpox outbreak occured is because a seperate expedituion under Pánfilo de Narváez was launched to arrest him as he was holding Montezuma II hotage) only reports that they sacrirficed 3000 to 4000 people a year.

And, we also know from a wide variety of sources that the vast majority of sacrifices were captured enemy soldiers, who would have been killed in battle otherwise in wars by any other culture (in fact, the entire heightened emphasis the Aztec placed upon human sacrirfice was due to religious reforms made by the Emperor Ahuzotl and his Cihuacoatl (this grand vizer, it's the head domestic adminstrative, judicial, and religuious civil office) Tlacaelel in the 1430's/1440's in order to justify military expansion, since they could justify perpual warfare by citing a need for enemy soldiers to sacrifice). Going by recent digs at the primary skull rack in Tenochtitlan, up to 75% of all sacrificed indduvals were enemy soldiers.

So

- Let's go with Cortes's already inflated total of 3000 people killed annually in Tenochtitlan.
- Other cities sacrificed a fraction of the amount of people as Tenochtitlan did, but let's assume that all the other cities and towns ended up totaling to another 3000 annually as of the empire's maximum extent, which...
- For most of the empire's history, the expanse of the empire was less then half it's maximum extent, but let's just use half it's maximum extent/population as an average, so make it 1500 a year for 100 years.
- Let's go with only 60% of them being enemy soldiers or criminals (since sacrifice was a sentence you could receive) rather then 75% or more

Even using this inflated math that uses unlikely high end assumptions, you get a total of only 180,000 civillians sacricied across the entire empire's geographic and temporal expanse...which is less then the amount of innocent people killed in a single religious purge in france that took only 1/5th the amount of time: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albigensian_Crusade

See also some of my posts in this thread https://boards.fireden.net/v/thread/460067902/ and there was another thread I can't find right now I talked aboutit a lot in.

The desuarchive link has literally 40,000 characters of me talking about it, and the fireden link has around 20,000 characters of stuff on it. Read it, educate yourself. Or hell if I have time later today I'll do a revised combination of the two and that other thread I can't find and I'll dump it here.

Hell. read "Allure of nezahualcoyotl" and " Tlacaelel remembered". Both are books on specific aztec politicans, Nezahualcoyotl being the most famous king of the second most important Aztec city, and was a renowned intellectual, poet, patron of the arts and hydrengineer who designed a variety of dike, aquaduct, and other water mangement systems for both his city and the aztec captial, and I already talked about Tlacaelel.

>Savages
Not even the Spanish thought they were savages. If you actually read accounts from Conquistadors and Friars you would see that, while they found their religion detestable, they were very impreseed with their art, cities, and govermental systems, and essentially saw them as formal, respectable states, which is why you have Aztec and Spanish nobility freeily marrying, the Aztec imperial royal family holding titles as dukes to this day, etc.

For instance

Cortes here's describing a city only a fraction the size of the Aztec captial:
>The city is indeed so great and marvellous that though I abstain from describing many things... the little.. I.. recount is... incredible. It is much larger than Granada and much better fortified. Its houses are as fine and its inhabitants far more numerous than those of Granada when that... was captured. Its provisions and food are likewise very superior... There are gold, silver and precious stones, and jewellers' shops selling other ornaments made of feathers, as well arranged as in any market in the world. There is earthenware of many kinds and excellent quality, as fine as any in Spain. Wood, charcoal, medicinal and sweet smelling herbs are sold in large quantities. There are booths for washing your hair and barbers to shave you: there are also public baths. Finally, good order and an efficient police system are maintained among them, and they behave as people of sense and reason.

Durian:
>lose the bad and false opinion that these Aztec people were barbarian and uncivilized, as they have been called. Because, although they showed blindness and diabolic self-deception in their rites and idolatries, in matters of government and good order, submission and reverence, majesty and authority, courage and fortitude, I have found no one to surpass them.

etc. I can go on, and will if I have time later.

*gasp*
Anyone who actually knows Chinese history and is not a brainwashed Chinese knows that China is simply in the height of another of its cycles.

China with its massive population and territory has always been a natural superpower. But what is China? Who are the Chinese people? What is their national identity? Unlike the French and France or Americans and America, the Chinese are simply a massive herd of people that occupy the middle territory ( where the word China comes from) in Eastern Asia. Don't take it from, take it from the smartes man who ever lived, Albert Einstein. China or the Middle Kingdom/State/Regime is the government that presides over this herd.

Through Chinese history, there is a cycle of this China emerging and dissolving and so on and so on. A powerful dynasty emerges and unites China, China rises as a world power, China begins to collapse, and China fragments, so that another dynasty rises and so on and so on. These dynasties gain power over an ideology that this Chinese herd adheres to called the "Mandate of Heaven".

Lets look at contemporary China. Before it fell, Qing dynasty China consisted of 40% of the world's economy, and was arguably the world's largest/most powerful nation. The Qing dynasty begins to collapse and during its gradual fall is defeated by the British in the Opioid Wars. China is fragmented and controlled by different Western powers, while a proxy government is set up in place.

Then comes Mao, with a new "Mandate of Heaven" disguised as communist uprising. He like the conquerors before him convinces most of the herd, and unifies China again.

> inb4 muh communism

China is the second country with most billionaires alive after America. How can a communist nation exist with billionaires and private corporations? Sorry to trigger you commie, but China is NOT a communist country and it was never meant to be one. It is simply an authoritative regime that uses communism as its religion.

Xi Jinping is a genius ruler who understands this and instead of moving China towards progressivism and liberal ideals, turns it further authoritarian.

Look at sesame or social credit scores, the surveillance system, and Chinese control of the internet. What is most surprising of these policies is that the Chinese embrace them. ( Actually look this up, please, it is shocking). The herd embraces its new master as it has done century after century.

Today, we start to see China at its peak however, its only downhill from here. As Trump's trade war has shown, China is extremely reliant on foreign investment and in US consumers. China will still be a strong player in the future but, will gradually demise until the cycle resets.

Thank you for coming to my Ted-Talk.

If you are Chinese and are triggered by this, it is an example of your successful adoption of Western values. Are you proud of your Chinese nation? That's a western invention that you have embraced. Do you believe China should expand and create a Chinese world order? That's a western foreign policy. Chinese philosophy on policy and state of affairs is irrelevant because it's very simple and only applicable to the Chinese herd.

If I could write a political science theorem it would be this: that after a certain population size is reached, a nation's ability to project power outwards diminishes.

The answer is obvious, too large a population is too much of a hassle for you to concern yourself with managing the rest of the world. It's the same thing that holds India back. Managing such a large population becomes as much of an empire that the country itself can handle.

The USA, as the third most populous country in the world (after the huge outliers of China and India) skirts just at the limit of being too populous to be efficient at power projection. If its population approached that of the other two countries there would be no way for it to manage world affairs like it has done for for the last 75 odd years, and if anything it would collapse. There are more poor people in China than there are people in the USA, which really puts things in perspective.

That China and India haven't completely melted down and are able to sustain that many people is itself a titanic feat.

whoops, forgot to give the art drive link https://drive.google.com/open?id=15iey5ZMTHflLHbMVGPRsyBLKLcHGCsKb

also the image I posted shows an Aztec (Well, Mexica, not getting into Aztec vs Mexica vs Nahua here rn unless people want me to explain) baby being born on the top left, aztec/mexica kids being brought to a school, in this case, a school for nobles, or a calmecac. Commoners, even girls still went to schools, but at calmecac's you had astronomy (as seen in the middle pic), mathmatics, theology writing, philosophy, poetry, medicine, biology (aztecs had fucking insane bontanical science, legit almost taxonomic systems for plant cateogization and bontanical gardens for studying them), etc, as opposed to just basic history, moral lessons, religion, and warfare (for boys) and domestic skills (for girls).. Aztec philosphers, which the image in >>13142100 mentions, also would teach in these schools on the side from their own academic circles. Bottom left image shows a boy being punished for something by having his head held over smoking chile peppers, and the bottom right shpows martial training at a school as well

Larger res versions of each paintings are in the art drive. That being said, while the attire shown in those paintings is accurate (mostly), the archtecture is not. You wouldn't see bare masonry on stone structures, they were covered in stucco and then painted accents, with frescos and murals on the inside, as seen in >>13143307. The less fancy buildings in the top left are also more, like southwestern US pueblo buildings then Aztec ones. There was SOME visual similarity but they didn't quite look like that.

Pic related shows some examples of small, single rome commoner homes accurately, though many would have had straw roofs and not flat stone/adobe ones (some also did, though)

>any other religions do this?
Not that i'm aware of, no. Sacricie was universal in Mesoamerican religion, and enemy soldiers was always one of the largest sources of sacrifices, but the scale at which these occurred in was pretty small: probably only single to double digits annually for total sacrifices for most cities/towns. The Aztec captial was unique in doing actual mass sacrifices as a result of those reforms, though, again, it's still probably more like double digits to triple digits a year, and most would be enemy soldiers still, not like thousands or tens of thousands a year as they are memed to be.

I haven't read it yet, but, as mentioned "Tlacaelel remembered" is all about him, so it's worth reading. wouldn't be suprised if it repeats a few of the oft-cited absurd tens of thousands of being sacrificed figures though, even good sources sometimes repeat that sort of shit.

Because it is a country with a Marxist ruling party who want to eventually achieve Communism but understand that Capitalism has yet to run its course and create the material conditions required for it to eventually give way to the next stage of economic history. People think Communists = Communism and forget that Commies have this whole quasi-materialist eschatology which involves revolutionary strategy to drive forward.
