Nihilism is the ultimate form of philosophy. When you reach the understanding of stoicism and skepticism, you understand how futile is the race for knowledge - many people stops there. It is, truly, the great pleb filter. One either steps back from there, or reach further, abandoning all the illusions of the world.

There are no values in every aspects of life: you can't really know anything, you can't explain existence, there's no good or bad, and last but not least, there's no meaning of life itself.

You either reach this stage of understanding, or let yourself be fooled by illusions. Religion is for the weak minden who can't accept the meaninglessness of existence. Science is for those who want answers, yet they search is ultimately futile - a neverending quest for knowledge that is also meaningless.

Let's discuss this.

Actually antiphilosophy is the end point. You realise that philosophy is gay, get a job and worship christ. Read Wittgenstein bucko.

cont.

When you gazt long into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you. This is the moment when you realize meaninglessness. It's not knowledge, it is a state of consciousness. It is sunnyata for the Buddhists - emptiness. It's not a negative term; in fact it is the gateway of freedom. The illusions of science, religion and even philosophy are, in fact, chains on your consciousness. Freedom of the being is freedom of these bondages.

"Then why do nihilists live? Why don't they just die?" asks people many times. They obviously don't understand what nihilism is about. Dying is an option, not a necessity. While there's no meaning of life, death has also no meaning. You are free to do what you want to do.

Emptiness is also the acceptance the world as it is. No more definitions, philosophies and other artificial ways of understanding. It's the way of purity. Emptiness is not an intellectual black hole, but the real nature of humans (as Taoists say).

>abandoning all the illusions of the world.
>let yourself be fooled by illusions
You seem to talk awful lot about illusions, Mr. Nihilist, so enlighten us, how can illusions exist without the original, which supposedly doesn't exist in a world without meaning or sense?
>Religion is for the weak minden who can't accept the meaninglessness of existence
Why must the meaninglessness be accepted? Why is it an act less noble or strong than relentless pursuit of meaning in void?

Finally, provide answers to following questions:
>why is it wrong to construct your own meaning?
>what makes personal meaning any less real than some metaphysical, cosmically ordained meaning?
>is meaning as endpoint even necessary to leave a meaningful life?
>in other words, is it wrong to seek meaning not in discrete knowledge, but in dynamic and continuous flow of existence?
>why is it wrong?
>is the duality of life and death not enough as a synthetic starting point of truthful knowledge?
>what made you rush your post so much that you made over 9000 spelling and grammatical errors?

Also stoic attitude can help dealing with a meaningless world and suffering in general:

>“External thinks are not the problem. It’s your assessment of them. Which you can erase right now.” – Marcus Aurelius

>“We are more often frightened than hurt; and we suffer more in imagination than in reality.” – Seneca

>“Life is very short and anxious for those who forget the past, neglect the present, and fear the future.” – Seneca

>“The chief task in life is simply this: to identify and separate matters so that I can say clearly to myself which are externals not under my control, and which have to do with the choices I actually control. Where then do I look for good and evil? Not to uncontrollable externals, but within myself to the choices that are my own…” – Epictetus

There is no original.
Your eyes can cover only a small percentage of the light spectrum. Your ears can also translates certain vibrations, not even accurately. You can't touch things, most of them are made of nothingness, empty data-pockets of atoms.

>Why must the meaninglessness be accepted? Why is it an act less noble or strong than relentless pursuit of meaning in void?

You mustn't do anything. It's not noble, nor strong to do or not do anything.

What is there to discuss? Nihilism is a dead end in terms of philosophical discussion because any point can be refuted by saying it doesn’t matter. It’s intellectual reductionism and laziness. All these threads play out pretty much the same way: OP states nothing matters based on vaguely scientific thought, anons come in saying this or that “matters” (whatever that means), then OP rejects it with an explanation of that phenomenon using reductionist logic. Repeat ad infinitum.

OP: Nothing matters
Anon: What about X?
OP: X is a process involving chemicals and atoms. It is indifferent to you. Therefore it has no meaning.
Anon: What about Y?
OP: Y is a process involving chemicals and atoms. It is indifferent to you. Therefore it has no meaning.

Looks like it's terribly meaningful to you to communicate that message. Why is it so hard to accept nihilism if it's the ultimate form of philosophy? If nothing matters, then arguing about it shouldn't matter to you, but for some reason, it does.

Also, every time I've seen people use the expressions "you can't really know anything" or "you can't explain existence" it's usually in a way to make me abandon my system of belief so I can accept theirs. It never means that they can't really know anything, it always means that I can't really know anything and that I should, for some reason, rethink my existence and ideally accept their point of view.

To conclude, choke on your nihilism like you choke on a dick you faggot.

Nihilism is the only philosophy that can be safely ignored by all logical thinkers. It seems to be more of a threat to those who value experience more.
I'm not entirely sure on the correct priority form (or hierarchy of existence), but I believe that nihilism cannot approach true beauty. As such it must have rejected beauty totally. Beauty is the justification for existence; the form of love.
Institutionalized ugliness, such as Hollywood, Islam, protestantism or Judaism has a very bleak view on things.

Faith changes the individual who believes in things. You encounter an idea, the idea changes you. Through the individual or collective, the belief and faith changes things, shapes them. They even have an element of eugenics to them. Beliefs shape reality the same way any other collision does.
