i read cronins, its decent. goes for spread instead of depth. Abel Gance's movie was made in an experimental format iirc and youre basically watched a cucked version today

Was a good documentary on him on YT. Remember, you're allowed to idolize him since ehe made the awful, awful mistake of letting the Jews out of heir ghettoes and making them citizens, which we are still paying for today.
As far as books...it's easy to find any generic good one since it isn't like WW 2 where you go to jail if you question certain aspects of what he did.

I love how Tolstoy shits on everything I was taught in history courses by exposing the strategic uselessness of both the Russians and the French, claiming Moscow was burned by sheer accident, and that Napoleon wasn't a genius. War and Peace is a must read.

I can imagine. Like I said earlier I've read both but Zamoyski tries to dispel the myths but never really goes into detail especially with battles being described to lackluster that it's staggering.

Anyway Roberts's book is still the go to one because of the scope and the rich detail
