13005099 No.13005099 [Reply] [Original]

>About Hegel's philosophy, Schopenhauer wrote that it is: "... a colossal piece of mystification, which will yet provide posterity with an inexhaustible theme for laughter at our times, that it is a pseudo-philosophy paralyzing all mental powers, stifling all real thinking, and, by the most outrageous misuse of language, putting in its place the hollowest, most senseless, thoughtless, and, as is confirmed by its success, most stupefying verbiage.

Schopenhauer wouldn't want you to read him if you haven't read the first Critique. He likeness the "brilliant dryness" of Kant to the esoteria of Aristotle. If you think it's boring, you're not meant to read it.

>esoteria
so i guess i'll just have to learn to like kant

The chops imply the silhouette of a lion. Combined with a stern expression this makes him seem imposing instead of sickly.
