Does Nietzsche offer any counterargument to following your self interest?
Ive read a few books by him an appart from disliking wagner and germans his main point seems to be that following your self interest is the "moral" thing to do.

Feel free to disagree with them on anything.
I don't recall him being against self interest.

A lot of people seem to forget that self-interest could be about treating your love ones well because you enjoy seeing them do well.

Egoism = atomism of the subject
For Nietzsche egoism is more of a rethorical thing but the for him the ego, the subject and the soul are pretty much the same thing in the sense that they are just metaphysical bullshit created to give the illusion than one can be separated from its practical-will, to create the illusion that the individual is a place in which you can find and know the cause of an action, therefor creating the illusion of resposability so we can judge and order society. Greeks were not infested with slave morality and thats why they didnt have a cartesian-ish or kantian-ish massive turn into subjectivity like the modern era had.

>therefor creating the illusion of resposability so we can judge and order society
isn't the entire premise of german idealism that people are responsible for their actions

so what exactly does nietzsche do to not "create the illusion of responsibility"?

His point is that we work based on ilussions
Taking this too literally would be autistic
