There’s a legitimate point to be made there though. Why continue to call them leftists when they’ve accommodated nearly every aspect of neoliberalism into their philosophy except for the emancipatory spirit of Marxism (which has simply become a tool for big business rather than people power). It’s a lazy and reductive gesture towards the historical development of leftist thought, rather than an nuanced understanding of where we are today and why the left has splintered so significantly.
