i tried it once and it made me feel utterly stupid. I realized i only understood about forty percent of what i read and just kinda skipped the rest. Thats how i learned to read in school: i read a little, skipped a few pages and read some more. Or i just looked at the text without actually reading it while convincing myself i understood every word. im actually borderline retarded but I've managed to fake myself this far somehow. but yeah. weed dude

Only ever smoked weed a few times in college because a couple of my roommates were huge stoners. One of those times I tried reading. I kept it light I remember, like Vonnegut or something similar. It was like my mind was making crazy connections, but it was all random. I kept imagining all of the characters as Russians even though I knew it wasn’t a Russian book. It was an experience, but not something I would want to do regularly. Also I couldn’t remember the actual story to the book the day after just all the shit my mind made up.

i dunno man , I could never channel that. Maybe it comes down to yr catechol-o-methyl-transferase or MTHFR polymorphism. Thats just a waste. I mean poems and some short stories maybe, but I don´t know why anyone whould do this. Personally speaking, reading is ideally done sober.Not neccesarily because of concentration, thats just the way I enjoy it the most. The experience is being "filtered" otherwise since your mind is altered. Never was a regular smoker to begin with. Just lost interest and stopped. I didt enjoy it though, it really helped with my autism: made me more social,increased my ability ro relate to others, decreased sensory overloead, calmed me down. Oh and It made physical contact beareble.

I usually find really hard to concentrate while reading if there's any sound, but when I'm stoned I can read very easily even if I have loud music in front of me, and I can perfectly remember what I've read afterwards

Whenever I smoke I get overly critical of myself and my views, my actions, my opinions, my lack of passion. I tend to think that everything I do is wrong and I also get a lot of suicidal thoughts. Also I forget everything I’m doing. I still smoke though because I sleep like a baby.

Makes for ultra comfy reading. I take a lower dose throughout the day so that my last dose is fat and I can just relax and read. I often forget about what I read the night before and re-read sections and books often, though.

I use a lot of pot for my chronic pain, it used to be impossible to read but by now it doesn't really effect me the same anymore. I can't get anywhere near as high as I used to so now it's more of a normal for me and I can read and write with less cognitive issues, but I prefer to read/write when more sober than not. If I know I need to retain something or be sharp, I do not get high.

The only book I've ever read while high was The Gay Science. Finished it in two hours. I only remember about 2% of it, but thought it was the greatest thing I'd ever read in the moment.
